1988 Mazda RX-7 convertible, finished in Sunrise Red with a black top and grey interior. This RX-7 features the desirable 5-speed manual transmission. This RX-7 came equipped from the factory with 15-inch BBS alloy wheels, cloth seats with headrest speakers, air conditioning. Modifications made to this RX-7 include an aftermarket steering wheel and a short shifter. The second generation "FC" RX-7 targeted contemporaries like the Porsche 944, and well-maintained FCs enjoy exceptional reliability and longevity. While a less tightly-focused sports car than its predecessor, this generation's grand touring sensibilities are only enhanced by the convertible top, complete with power operation. Mazda took considerable effort to ensure the RX-7 convertible retained the coupe's driving experience, including fitting an aluminum hood for weight savings and the Turbo version's larger brake rotors for added stopping power.Power comes from a 1.3-liter rotary engine, which produces 146 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Due to the engine replacement performed to this RX-7, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm.
