2003 BMW 540i Sedan, finished in Jet Black with a Sand Beige Montana leather interior. This BMW is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission. According to the build sheet pictured in the photo gallery, this 540i is equipped with the M Tech Sport Package. It adds 18-inch Style 37 wheels, sport suspension, front sport seats, high-gloss exterior Shadowline window trim, black door trim, a black headliner, M door sills, and a single-exit exhaust, among other features. This 540i also features a sunroof, xenon headlights, leather upholstery, and more as detailed below.Modifications include a host of Dinan upgrades featuring a high-flow kit (high-flow mass air meter, high-flow throttle body), a free-flow exhaust, Stage 4 software tune, Dinan front strut tower brace, and Stage 1 suspension, among others detailed below.In the United States, BMW introduced the E39-generation 5 Series for the 1997 model year. Available at launch, the V8-powered 540i remained positioned as the quickest and most expensive non-M-badged model until E39 production ended after the 2003 model year.Power comes from an "M62" 4.4-liter V8, rated at 290 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque. Due to the Dinan modifications performed to this 540i, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.
