2008 Lexus GX 470, finished in Blizzard Pearl with a Dark Gray interior. Factory equipment includes the Navigation/Mark Levinson Audio, Preferred Accessory, and the Luxury Value Edition packages as well as 17-inch alloy wheels, a locking center differential, sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, Rear Adjustable Height Control (RAHC), and more as detailed below. Introduced for the 2003 model year, the GX 470 is based on the Toyota Prado and shares many components with the 4Runner. An update in 2004 included an upgraded transmission, and improvements to the V8 engine for the 2005 model year increased output by 35 horsepower. The model has become popular with enthusiasts for having the off-road capabilities of the Prado while featuring the luxurious amenities that Lexus is known for. Production ended in 2009 when it was replaced by the second generation GX 460.Power comes from a "2UZ-FE" 4.7-liter V8, rated at 263 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. Output is directed to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel-drive system with a center locking differential.
