2000 BMW 540i sedan, finished in Titanium Silver with a black leather interior. This 540i features the desirable 6-speed manual transmission. This E39 540i was factory-equipped with the Sport Package, including a performance-oriented suspension, bolstered seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels. This E39 was further fitted with heated front seats and premium audio with a Digital Sound Processor (DSP) sound system. Modifications are limited to the addition of aftermarket cupholders and M5-style kidney grilles.Service in the last year included replacement of the engine mounts, alternator, and timing cover gaskets, plus cooling and VANOS variable valve timing system services. Available at launch, the V8-powered 540i remained positioned as the quickest and most expensive non-M-badged model until production ended after the 2003 model year. Rain-sensing wipers and xenon headlights were newly standard for 2000. Power for this 540i comes from a 4.4-liter V8 engine, which produces 290 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque when left stock. It spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
