Fahrzeugbeschreibung

1984 Land Rover 110, finished in NATO Green with a black interior. This Land Rover is a British-market import. This 110 was previously selected as a Project Tithonus Defender by the British Ministry of Defense, receiving a restoration in 2007 through 2008. The Defense Ministry reportedly restored 3,000 Defenders under this program, not only refurbishing the equipment already on the trucks but adding some upgrades like a roll cage, removable hardtop, rear jump-seats, and rifle racks. Some documentation with information on the Project Tithonus process is included in the photo gallery. The seller reports that outside of the changes made by the Project Tithonus program, this Defender has remained unmodified.Service documentation pictured in the gallery shows that this 110 has received a new clutch, a resurfaced flywheel, new rear wheel cylinders, and a fresh set of rear brake shoes within the last 2,000 miles. The "110" nameplate began in 1983 as an evolution of Land Rover's dependable Series III, but with more modern features and engine options; the "Defender" model name was officially given in 1990. The British Military began using these for light-duty military applications due to its off-road prowess and simplicity of design, with a purpose-built model being introduced in 1994 as the Land Rover Wolf. After its 2007 refurbishment, this Defender now resembles the more modern Wolf than when it originally left the factory.Power comes from a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated diesel inline-4 engine, which produces 68 horsepower and 116 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and four-wheel-drive system.
