2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic with a black interior. The removed factory wheels are included in the sale.Called R230 internally, the first new SL of the 21st century made its debut for the 2003 model year as a replacement for the venerable R129 model. It was appreciably quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, it ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design, and it came standard with a power-retractable hardtop.The SL55 was the first full AMG version of the SL to be offered to the U.S. market, and the model featured a more powerful engine, a Speedshift automatic transmission, a high-performance brake system, model-specific body styling and wheels, and a sport steering wheel.Power comes from an "M113K" 5.4-liter supercharged V8, rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Due to the modifications performed to this SL55, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
