A mid-cycle update for 2018 brought more power and revised styling. In Mustang-speak, the "GT" trim has long equated to V8 power, and the latest model uses the automaker's Coyote V8.Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8, rated at 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque in stock form. An included dyno sheet shows this heavily-modified vehicle is capable of producing 1,075 horsepower and 735 lb-ft of torque at the wheels under certain tuning parameters. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission.
