2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, finished in Obsidian Black with a black soft top and a Designo Light Brown interior. RENNtech confirms that this is a one-of-a-kind SLS AMG modified specifically for the seller in 2016. A document from the company is provided in the gallery. This convertible's odometer displays about 13,300 miles. Extensively modified at RENNtech's headquarters, this SLS is fitted with an ECU tune, a supercharger kit, stainless-steel long-tube headers, 200-cell catalytic converters, an Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium exhaust system, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear RENNtech Forged Super-Light wheels, and coilovers, among other modifications. More details about the aftermarket parts installed on this car are provided below, and most of the removed factory parts are pictured in the gallery and included in the sale.The build sheet pictured in the gallery notes that this SLS cost $224,595 new. It's equipped with an AMG carbon ceramic braking system, bi-xenon headlights, carbon fiber door mirror caps, a power-operated soft top, carbon fiber interior trim, plus heated and power-adjustable seats, among other features.Released for 2010, the Mercedes-Benz SLS stood out as the first production car developed in-house from the ground up by AMG. It featured a front-mid-mounted engine, an aluminum chassis, and, in coupe form, gullwing doors that echoed the 300 SL built in the 1960s. 2013 brought the GT model, which gained 12 horsepower and an updated suspension system, and production ended after 2015.Power comes from a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, rated at 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque when left stock and naturally-aspirated. The modifications increase those figures to 597 and 492, respectively, at the wheels according to a dyno sheet pictured in the gallery. Called "M159" internally, the hand-built engine spins the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transaxle.
