2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, finished in Race Red with a Dark Charcoal interior. Substantially modified, this GT500 is fitted with a VMP Performance supercharger kit, a 2.4-inch supercharger pulley, a remote-controlled active exhaust system, 20-inch wheels, adjustable upper and lower control arms, plus snake skin-look finish on some of the interior and exterior trim pieces. He adds it was last serviced in April 2021, when an alignment was performed and the engine oil was changed.Called "S197" internally, the 5th-generation Mustang launched for 2005 with a heritage-laced design, a new platform, and an available 24-valve V8 engine. Extending the wheelbase gave the Mustang a much more compliant ride than its predecessor. 2010 brought a thorough mid-cycle update that applied to all variants (including the mighty GT500), and production ended in 2014. The "S197" passed the Pony Car torch to the current Mustang.Power for this GT500 comes from a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, rated at 550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The modifications increase those figures to 681 and 652, respectively, according to a dyno sheet pictured in the gallery. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
