Finished in red with a gray interior. This engine received a new timing chain, timing chain tensioner, idler pulley, water pump, and air conditioning belt. Some modifications have been added to this 4Runner, including a 3-inch suspension lift, custom pinstripes, a front bull bar, a black badge on the tailgate trim bar, and the addition of an Insignia head unit. The first-generation Toyota 4Runner launched for the 1984 model year and was offered exclusively as a two-door with a removable hardtop. Toyota updated the range with more modern equipment in 1987, including fuel injection and an independent front suspension. Power comes from a 3.0-liter "3VZ-E" V6, rated at 145 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque when new. Output is sent to the four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive with locking hubs.
