1996 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4x4 2-Door, finished in two-tone Emerald Green Metallic over Sunset Gold with a tan interior. Factory equipment on this Tahoe includes the Z71 Off-Road Package, the Trailering Equipment Package, a limited-slip rear axle, leather upholstery, power driver seat, running boards, air conditioning, a self-dimming rearview mirror with compass, AM/FM/CD/cassette audio, a CD player, cruise control, and more as detailed below.Modifications to this Tahoe are limited to a dual-exit exhaust system and side window rain guards.The Chevrolet Tahoe started life as the third-generation Blazer. Based on the "GMT400" platform, it was initially available only with two doors and positioned as a smaller alternative to the Suburban. Like Ford, Chevrolet sensed the market was shifting towards more family-friendly SUVs so it made the Blazer available with rear doors and renamed it Tahoe for 1995. The new designation also brought an updated exterior design, among other changes.Power comes from a 5.7-liter "Vortec" V8 engine, rated at 250 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed 4WD transfer case with a limited-slip rear axle.
