2001 Toyota Tacoma XtraCab SR5, finished in a custom Candy Red Metallic and flames with a Graphite cloth interior. The odometer on this Tacoma currently displays approximately 36,000 Miles. This Tacoma is an SR5 and was well-equipped from the factory with power features, cruise control, and a sliding rear window. The Tacoma's original owner extensively modified this Tacoma when he lowered the truck, modified the bodywork with shaved markers, door handles, rear pan and gas doors, refinished its paint, fitted an airbag suspension with a ride-height controller, and installed a JL Audio sound system with a touchscreen display. A direct descendent of the Hi-Lux, the Tacoma has earned a reputation for its versatility and its durability. Though often overshadowed by high-riding off-roaders, these Toyotas have been customized as expressive minitrucks for generations. An update for 2001 brought new exterior styling up front and a few interior revisions including a new steering wheel design.Power for this Tacoma comes from a 2.4-liter inline-4, which produces 142 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
