The 90 and 110 classifications represent the length of the wheelbase. Later on, Land Rover added a Defender 127, which eventually became the 130, to the lineup. While the 90 didn't appear very different from its Series III predecessor visually, it received coil springs, a permanent four-wheel-drive system derived from the Range Rover, a new engine, a new interior, and a taller one-piece windscreen in an effort to modernize the truck.Power comes from a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-4 engine, rated at 107 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and full-time four-wheel-drive system.
