Modifications are limited to a Sony head unit.Porsche introduced the 944 for the 1983 model year as an evolution of the 924 and positioned it as its entry-level model for most of the 1980s. It gradually expanded the range with a mid-level 944 S and a flagship Turbo model. Production ended after the 1991 model year, and the 944 was replaced by the 968 for 1992.Power for this 944 comes from a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, rated at 143 horsepower and 137 lb-ft of torque.
