The new coil-spring suspension provided better handling and comfort on-road and off while maintaining the Wrangler's short wheelbase helped to keep it agile while crawling over obstacles and bouncing down uneven terrain. Produced until 2006 the TJ Wrangler was replaced by the "JK" series which would be the first time the chassis came with four doors.Power comes from a 4.0-liter straight-6, rated at 190 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins the rear or the 4 wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission, a part-time 4-wheel-drive system, and a 2-speed transfer case.
