Fahrzeugbeschreibung

1981 BMW 635CSi, finished in Kastanienrot Metallic with a Pearl Beige interior. This E24 features the desirable 5-speed dogleg manual transmission. This 635CSi is a European Market car and is believed to have been gray-market imported to the United States in 1992. Factory equipment on this 635CSi includes the M90 engine, dogleg 5-speed manual, limited-slip differential, air conditioning, a stereo system, and more as detailed below.Modifications reported by the seller include 17-inch BMW Style 42 wheels, the fender side markers were shaved during the repaint, Zender side skirts, a Kenwood head unit, and Pioneer door speakers.Introduced in 1976 as a Karman-built coupe based on the E12 5-series chassis, the E24 — or "Sharknose" as it's called by enthusiasts — was the successor to the famed "E9" BMW 2800 and 3.0 CSi. In 1982, manufacturing left Karman, and BMW began in-house production of the E28 5 Series and E24 6 Series chassis with the new "M30" engine. It was one of BMW's most expensive and recognizable models of the 1980s, and production of the E24 ended in 1989.Power comes from a 3.5-liter "M90" inline-six engine, which is rated at 218 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed "dogleg" manual transmission and "sideloader" limited-slip differential.
