More recently, documentation shows that a steering angle sensor was replaced in September 2021 at 93,323 miles and the ABS pump was replaced in August 2021 at 91,379 miles; additional services are detailed below.BMW resurrected the dormant M6 nameplate on the high-performance variant of the second-generation 6 Series released for the 2006 model year. Called "E63" (coupe) and "E64" (convertible) internally, the model features a high-revving V10 engine and sport-tuned suspension shared with the "E60" M5. It revs to an 8,250-rpm redline and is regarded by enthusiasts as one of the most distinctive engines ever put into a BMW. Initially offered only with an SMG automatic transmission, a 6-speed manual was added midway through the 2007 model year and only in the North American market.Power comes from a 5.0-liter V10 engine, rated at 500 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. A dyno sheet provided in the photo gallery shows that this M6 particular is producing approximately 433 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
