1987 Plymouth Gran Fury Salon, finished in silver with a gray interior. Factory equipment includes the Salon Luxury Package, 15-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery, a 60/40-split front bench seat, power-operated windows, power-operated locks, air conditioning, and a cassette player. The only modification reported by the seller is that the exterior emblems have been removed, though they're reportedly included in the sale.Plymouth's third-generation Gran Fury made its debut for 1982. Downsizing was sweeping across the industry at the time and switching to the M platform made the sedan almost 17 inches shorter than its predecessor. Buyers could choose between Chrysler's Slant-Six engine and the time-tested "LA" V8 engine, and the Salon model was marketed as a more upscale alternative to the standard Gran Fury. At the other end of the spectrum, the Gran Fury was popular as a police car. Production ended in 1988.Power comes from a 5.2-liter (318-cubic-inch) V8, rated at 140 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. Called "LA" internally, it spins the rear wheels via a 3-speed automatic transmission.
