It was the first BMW Z model with a retractable hardtop roof eliminating the differentiation between coupe and roadster variants.Power comes from an "N54" 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6, which produces 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
