Finished in silver with a dark grey leather interior. This 780 is reported to be a late production (7,922 of 8,518) U.S.-market model. Equipment includes 15-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, leather upholstery, Birchwood interior accents, power-adjustable, heated front seats, power windows and locks, an AM/FM/Cassette stereo with 7-band analog equalizer, and more as detailed below. The 780 Bertone (later designated Volvo Coupe) was an evolution of the first Volvo/Bertone jointly-produced product, the 262C. Though bearing a near-identical appearance to the 700 series sedans and wagons of the time, the Italian-built 780 sported entirely unique bodywork, glass, and a plush interior-in fact, only the drivetrain and chassis components were carried over from the work-a-day models.As one of approximately 1,300 units built over the final two years of production from 1990 through 1991, this coupe is powered by a "B230FT" 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4, rated at 188 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
