2009 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, finished in Torch Red with silver stripes and a black interior. The odometer currently displays approximately 11,500 miles. Extending the wheelbase gave the Mustang a much more compliant ride than its predecessor, though it remained true to the pony car ethos that characterized the original model. Production ended in 2014, when the "S197" passed the torch to the current-generation Mustang.Ford rekindled ties with Shelby to transform what was envisioned as a replacement for the Mustang Cobra into a 21st-century GT500.
