2003 BMW 540i sedan, finished in Topaz Blue with a gray leather interior.T his BMW 540i is equipped with the highly sought-after 6-speed manual transmission. It also has the M Tech package, which was only available for the 540i in the U.S. during the 2003 model year. Equipment included in the M Tech package included Style 37 M Parallel wheels (swapped for aftermarket wheels in this case), M Sports Suspension II, M Tech aerodynamic front bumper with a T splitter, an M Tech rear bumper, high gloss Shadowline exterior trim, M door sills, an M sport steering wheel and shift knob (swapped for an M5 shift knob), and sport seats.Some modifications to this 540i M Tech include OEM piano black interior trim, black kidney grilles, Hella Euro-spec headlights, a Euro-spec center armrest, an illuminated M shifter, Bilstein shocks and struts, 18-inch ASA AR1 wheels, a Dice Media Bridge Bluetooth integration module, and BAVSound speakers.In the United States, BMW introduced the E39-generation 5 Series for the 1997 model year. Available at launch, the V8-powered 540i remained positioned as the quickest and most expensive non-M-badged model until production ended after the 2003 model year.Power comes from the "M62" 4.4-liter V8 engine, which produces 290 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
