2017 BAC Mono, finished in white with a red wrap and a black interior. Manufactured in England and assembled in America, this Mono is equipped with 17-inch wheels, AP Racing brake calipers, a fixed seat, and an FIA-compliant 5-point Williams harness, among other features. Its build sheet is pictured in the gallery.The only modifications reported by the selling dealer are a red wrap over the white paint applied by a previous owner (this Mono was originally orange), stickers on both sides, and a GoPro mount added above the seat.The engine oil and the brake and clutch fluid were changed at 2,797 miles in July 2020. The results of an inspection performed at the same time are pictured in the gallery.Brothers Ian and Neill Briggs founded the England-based Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) in 2009 to create their dream car. Launched in 2011, the Mono blurred the line between a race car and a street car by offering enthusiasts a single seat, no roof, and no windshield. It tipped the scale at about 1,200 pounds thanks in part to the extensive use of carbon fiber, and it featured a pushrod-type suspension system on both axles. Only a small handful are built annually; BAC made the 100th unit of the Mono in 2019.Power for this Mono comes from a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine, rated at about 280 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. Designed by Ford and modified by Cosworth, the engine spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential transmission with shift paddles.
