2012 McLaren MP4-12C, finished in Volcano Orange with a black and orange interior. A partial list of notable equipment includes the stealth pack, lightweight forged wheels, carbon fiber interior upgrade, electric and heated memory seats, and a premium Meridian surround sound system, among other standard and optional equipment. In addition to orange-painted brake calipers, modifications to this MP4-12C include a DME Stage II ECU tune, and DME catless downpipes; a service document pictured in the photo gallery corresponds with the DME modifications.Released for 2012, the MP4-12C was welcomed as McLaren's first road car since the F1. It was developed from scratch with a carbon fiber chassis, a powerful turbocharged V8 engine, and a luxurious interior. The MP4-12C range transformed McLaren from a racing team that occasionally produced road cars into a full-fledged carmaker. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, rated at 592 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Due to the modifications, this McLaren produces more power than stock but no dyno sheet is provided. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
