Some modifications have been made to this Discovery ll SE, including an ARB winch bumper, Hella driving lights, Safari snorkel, among others detailed below.The Discovery Series II was introduced for the 1999 model year, and although it featured significant refinements over the outgoing model it kept its ladder-frame chassis, live axles, and short wheelbase that were evolved from the original 1970 Range Rover. Three trim levels were offered for 2001, with the SE at the top of the heap. Power comes from a 4.0-liter V8, which produces 188 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins all four wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a 2-speed 4WD transfer case.
