2005 Mercedes-Benz SL500, finished in Cubanite Silver with a black interior. Factory equipment on this SL includes an Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system, bi-xenon headlights, wood interior trim, plus heated and power-adjustable seats, according to a build sheet shown in the gallery. Modifications reported by the seller are limited to 18-inch wheels, a Pioneer touchscreen, and Bluetooth connectivity. Called R230 internally, the first new SL of the 21st century made its debut for the 2003 model year as a replacement for the venerable R129 model. It was appreciably quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, it ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design, and it came standard with a power-retractable hardtop. 2009 brought a round of comprehensive updates, and production ended in 2011.Power for this SL comes from a 5.0-liter V8 engine, rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
