Product Details

1985 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon, finished in blue with a blue interior. This 300TD is equipped with the rare and desirable 5-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 14-inch steel wheels with painted hubcaps, MB-Tex vinyl upholstery, a mechanical sliding roof, central locking, and air conditioning. Modifications are limited to an aftermarket head unit.Mercedes-Benz introduced the W123 sedan for the 1977 model year and quickly dropped the gasoline-burning models to focus on the more popular diesel-powered variants. The range included the 240D, which received a 4-cylinder diesel engine, and the 300D, which offered an extra cylinder (and, later, a turbo). Sales ended after the 1985 model year, when the W123 was replaced by the W124, which became the first E-Class.The 300D and the 300TD were never made available with a stick-shift in the United States. Across the pond, both models could be ordered with a 4- or a 5-speed manual.Power comes from an “OM617” diesel-powered 3.0-liter inline-5, rated at 87 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
