The selling dealer reports no modifications.Mercedes-Benz rebooted the S-Class for 1992. Called "W140" internally, the new model was one of the firm's last over-engineered models and one of the first that relied extensively on electronics. It came standard with dual-pane windows that made the cabin quieter (fair warning: they're not bulletproof) and it inaugurated a V12 later used in the "R129" generation of the SL. The "C140" coupe was introduced for the 1993 model year, and production of the W140 chassis ended in 1998.Power comes from an "M119" 5.0-liter V8, rated at 315 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
