2006 Mercedes-Benz SL500, finished in Cubanite Silver Metallic with a beige leather interior. Factory equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Active Body Control suspension, semi-active roll stabilization, multi-contour heated seats, automatic climate control, wood interior trim, a navigation system, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system, among other standard and optional equipment. The selling dealer reports no modifications. Recent service has included the replacement of the hard-top convertible flap motor and actuator, as well as a fluid flush of the Active Body Control suspension system. The R230-generation SL roadster debuted for the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show and was the second Mercedes-Benz with a retractable hardtop and the third to use Active Body Control, joining the S-Class and the CL-Class. It was quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, and ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design. Power comes from an "M113" 5.0-liter V8, rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
