2001 Chevrolet Silverado LT K1500HD, finished in Victory Red with a gray interior. Factory equipment includes fog lights, leather upholstery, air conditioning, chrome mirror caps and door handles, and power windows and locks.Highly modified, this Silverado has a custom fabricated frame and custom fabricated sub frames, as well as King Racing adjustable nitrogen-filled shocks, a custom tractor trailer air bag suspension system, hydro-assisted steering, an onboard air compressor, and more as detailed below. Chevrolet introduced the "GMT800" Silverado as a standalone model for the 1999 model year, and it added the heavy-duty models to the lineup for 2001. The ground-up redesign brought updated engines, fresh styling, and a more polished cabin that made one of America's best-selling vehicles much more comfortable to drive daily. Offered as a bare-bones workhorse, a luxurious camper hauler, and a dizzying number of configurations in between, the original Silverado represented a major leap forward in the truck segment. Production ended in 2007 when it was replaced by the "GMT900" trucks.Power comes from a 6.0-liter V8 engine, rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
