Equipment on this CLS55 AMG includes the Premium Package — adding active heated and ventilated seats — the Lighting Package — adding active bi-xenon headlights — Keyless Go, Airmatic DC adaptive suspension, and Parktronic parking sensors, among other features.Some modifications have been added to this CLS including a sports exhaust with cat-less headers, a sport-style front bumper, and a sport steering wheel.Mercedes-Benz introduced the concept of the "four-door coupe" with the CLS-Class, an idea that has since been copied at BMW and Audi. The CLS made its debut for 2006, based on the W211 E-Class. The CLS is noted for its dramatic bodywork including a two-inch-lower roofline, a higher beltline, and frameless door glass. Priced at a premium relative to the E-Class, the model featured a richer, four-place interior and was offered as the V8 CLS500 and the CLS55 AMG. The hand-built 5.4-liter 32-valve supercharged V8 produces 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, and each engine displays the signature of the mechanic who built it. The supercharged V8 sends its output to the rear wheels via a 5-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission with shift paddles.
