Imported from the United Kingdom in 2013, its odometer shows about 78,300 miles. The seller purchased the car in 2013 from its original US importer, and has since restored much of the car. This included a rebuilt engine, replacement of suspension components, reupholstering the interior, and updating the wheels, tires, and emblems. First marketed as the Austin Seven and the Morris Mini-Minor, the original Mini made its debut in 1959 as an alternative to the bubble cars that were common on British roads during the 1950s. It was an extremely innovative 4-seater thanks in part to a transversally-mounted engine. The Mini MKIV was introduced in 1976 and production ran all the way through 2000.Power comes from a 1.0-liter inline-4 engine with a cast iron head and block rated at 40 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque.
