2016 Race Car Replicas GT40 MKI, finished in red with a black interior.Street-legal and titled as a 1965 RCR RCR407, this is a fiberglass-bodied replica of the Ford GT40 that was developed and built by Michigan-based Race Car Replicas. Factory equipment includes 15-inch wheels, Wilwood Engineering disc brakes, dual fuel cells, sport seats, a quick-release steering wheel, and air conditioning. The only modification reported by the seller is a set of 3M vinyl stripes.Founded in 2003, Race Car Replicas specializes in building replicas of classic race cars, though it manufactures parts and works on custom projects as well. In addition to the RCR40, which is offered in MKI and MKII configurations, it also offers enthusiasts replicas of the Porsche 917 and Lola T70.Power comes from a 5.0-liter (302 cubic-inch) ATK High Performance Engines V8, rated at 375 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque according to a dyno sheet pictured in the gallery.
