2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, finished in Black Opal Metallic with a gray interior. The AMG variants of the R230 featured unique visual touches over the standard SL, including 18-inch wheels, a full body kit, quad-tipped exhausts, a sport steering wheel, and Alcantara interior accents. The selling dealer reports that no modifications have been made to this SL55.The R230 was the first SL equipped with a folding metal hardtop, and it's capable of making the transition from coupe to roadster in about 16 seconds. That's also roughly the same time it takes one of these cars to reach 130 mph from a standstill.Power comes from an "M113" 5.5-liter supercharged V8, which produced 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque when new. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission.
