Modifications are limited to 20-inch wheels, an AMG badge on the trunk, a European front license plate, and an OE Tuning ECU performance tune. Introduced in 2001 and produced until 2011, the "R230" represents the fifth generation of SL-Class roadsters from Mercedes-Benz. The R230 was the second Mercedes-Benz to feature a power-retractable hardtop, after the SLK in 1997, and came with a retractable roll bar. The SL600 model was the highest-powered version of the non-AMG SL-Class models.Power comes from an "M275" 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged and intercooled V12, which produces 493 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque in stock form. After the ECU tune, the seller reports that the car is now producing 591 horsepower and 696 lb-ft of torque, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is routed to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission.
