Product Details

2005 Cadillac XLR, finished in Satin Nickel with a Shale interior. The included window sticker highlights some notable equipment as magnetic ride control, a power-retractable hardtop, heated and cooled 8-way power-adjustable seats, and speed-sensitive power steering.Modifications listed by the seller include a Corsa exhaust, wheels by Chip Foose, an aftermarket grille, and a Volant air intake, among other performance upgrades. The seller reports the most recent service as being a fresh set of tires around 111,000 miles. Additional service history is provided in the photo gallery and via the Carfax history report.Released for 2003, the XLR brought Cadillac back to the roadster segment after a long hiatus. It was related to the sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, and the two models were built in the same facility, but it arrived as a more cruising-oriented drop-top with a power-folding hardtop and a "Northstar" V8 related to the unit that powered the STS. Production ended in 2009, and Cadillac has steered clear of the convertible segment since. Cadillac built about 15,460 units of the XLR, including 3,730 for the 2005 model year.Power for this XLR comes from a 4.6-liter "Northstar" V8, rated at 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Due to the modifications performed to this XLR, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. It spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
