1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, finished in black with a gray interior. Unmodified, this Impala SS came standard with a sport tuned suspension, limited-slip differential, transmission cooler, anti-lock brakes, power-adjustable front seats, and air conditioning, among other standard and optional equipment. Sold between the 1994 and 1996 model years, the Impala SS was based on the B-Body Caprice of the same era. The "SS" moniker cars sported a Corvette-derived LT1 V8 with iron heads along with a revised intake and exhaust. The chassis featured the police package's suspension system, De Carbon monotube shocks, a lower ride height, and huge disc brakes at all four corners. Power for this Impala SS comes from an LT1 5.7-liter V8 engine, rated at 260 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
