The 3000GT VR-4 featured impressive technology for its time, including an electronically-controlled suspension, active aerodynamics, and four-wheel steering. This VR4 is modified with 18-inch Konig wheels, an aftermarket exhaust, 3SX radiator and engine mounts, and "big bore" 3rd-gen lifters.Mitsubishi's entrant in the 90's battle for turbocharged supremacy, the 3000GT competed with the likes of the Nissan 300ZX and Toyota Supra. For 1991, in addition to a more powerful, twin-turbocharged and twin-intercooled engine, the range-topping VR-4 added performance features such as a 5-speed manual transmission, all-wheel drive with a Viscous Coupling Unit (VCU) sending power to an open front differential and rear limited-slip differential, and 4-piston brake calipers, among other features.Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, which is rated at 300 horsepower and 308 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
