Product Details

1995 BMW 318i Touring, finished in Light Red with a black interior. This 318i is a European-spec wagon imported from Belgium by the seller earlier in 2021. The seller notes this 318i left the factory with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain was replaced by a 3.2-liter "S52" straight-6 and a 5-speed manual transmission both sourced from a U.S.-spec 1999 M3 with roughly 145,000 miles. The donor car also reportedly provided the front and rear subframes, the driveshaft, and the differential.Other modifications include a set of BC Racing coilovers. The full list is provided below.Called "E36" internally, the third-generation 3 Series made its debut as a sedan and as a coupe for 1992; the Touring station wagon launched in 1995 was never officially sold in the United States. Its predecessor, the "E30," was showing its age in the early 1990s so the E36 was welcomed as a major leap forward; it's often considered the first modern 3 Series. Production ended after the 1999 model year, when BMW phased in the "E46."Power comes from a 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 240 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. It spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
