The "996" was the first 911 to be completely redesigned from its predecessors. Only sold in America for the 2005 model year, the Turbo S came standard with the X50 Power Kit and PCCBs, which cost a combined $26,030 when optioned in previous model years.Power comes from a turbocharged 3.6-liter "Mezger" flat-6 engine, rated at 444 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque.
