Product Details

1983 Mercedes-Benz 300TD, finished in Champagne Metallic with a Palomino interior. Factory equipment includes 14-inch wheels, a self-leveling rear suspension system, roof rails, a sunroof, MB-Tex upholstery, air conditioning, and cruise control. This wagon's build sheet is pictured in the gallery, and the only modification reported by the seller is a Becker Europa cassette player.Mercedes-Benz introduced the W123 sedan for 1977 and quickly dropped the gasoline-burning models to focus on the more popular diesel-powered variants. The range included the 240D, which received a 4-cylinder diesel engine, and the 300D, which offered an extra cylinder (and, later, a turbo). Released for 1979, the S123 was the first wagon that Mercedes-Benz developed in-house. Sales ended after the 1985 model year, when the W123 was replaced by the W124 (which later became the first E-Class).Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel 5-cylinder engine. Called OM617 internally, it spins the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
