Product Details

1994 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version 1, finished in silver with a black interior. This Impreza WRX STI is a Japanese-spec, right-hand-drive sedan. Imported from Japan in July 2021 by the selling dealer, it’s equipped with a metric instrument cluster, and its odometer currently shows about 260,300 kilometers, which represents approximately 161,800 miles. This STI Version 1 is #055 out of the 100 special edition models dedicated to Subaru’s win at the 1994 Rally Acropolis for the World Rally Championship. Factory equipment includes an intercooler water spray system, front strut brace, STI rear trunk spoiler, cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, air conditioning, and more as listed below.Modifications reported by the selling dealer are limited to 16-inch MIM Speedline wheels, rear mudflaps, an aftermarket shifter, and a Kenwood head unit. The original Subaru Impreza WRX STI was launched in 1994 exclusively for the Japanese market. These early STIs started life as normal WRX models taken off the normal production line to be brought up to STI-spec by hand. Each WRX STI got a blueprinted engine with forged internals, an upgraded 5-speed manual transmission, and STI-specific suspension, among other revisions. Production was limited to around 100 to 200 cars per month for that first year, with Subaru dividing each production batch with numbered serial plates on the driver-side front strut tower. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-4 engine, rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
