Unmodified, this Taurus SHO features equipment such as a special SHO appearance package, a power sunroof, Mach premium audio system, and more.The third-generation Ford Taurus SHO was intended to be a more refined sport sedan with subtler bodywork than its predecessors. It's the first and only Taurus SHO to be powered by a V8 engine, which was co-developed between Ford and Yamaha specifically for use in this car.The SHO V8 engine began production by Ford in Windsor, Ontario, using a patented Cosworth process for the block, shipped to Japan where Yamaha completed building the engine, and then shipped to Atlanta, Georgia, for installation into the SHO.Power comes from a 3.4-liter V8 engine, which produces 235 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque. It powers the front wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
