1998 Toyota Land Cruiser, finished in black with a tan interior. Factory equipment on this Land Cruiser includes 16-inch wheels, locking center and rear differentials, third-row seating, a roof rack, running boards, leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and more as detailed below. Modifications are limited to a Clarion head unit.Toyota launched the 100-Series Land Cruiser for 1998 as a replacement for the 80-Series model. While the design changes were largely evolutionary, the 100 was the first Land Cruiser available with a V8 engine, and it gained an independent front suspension system for the first time. Changes to the steering system were made as well. All told, it offered a smoother ride, more power, and a more luxurious cabin than its predecessor while remaining just as capable off the beaten path. The 1998 Land Cruiser models are equipped with standard shocks and springs, unlike the Adjustable Height Control system found on later 100-Series Land Cruisers. Production ended in 2007.Power comes from the "2UZ-FE" 4.7-liter V8, which produces 230 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system with a 2-speed transfer case.
