1988 BMW 528e, finished in Cirrus Blue Metallic with a beige interior. Factory equipment includes 14-inch wheels, a power sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, a cassette player, and cruise control. The sole modification reported indicated in service documentation is an air conditioning conversion to R134A.Called E28 internally, the second-generation BMW 5 Series arrived on the American market for the 1982 model year. It was more family-friendly than its predecessor but it remained just as engaging to drive. BMW positioned the 528e as the entry-level model, and it later expanded the line-up with quicker models ranging from the 533i to the first-generation M5. Production ended after the 1988 model year.Power comes from a 2.7-liter inline-6 engine, rated at 127 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
