2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG, finished in Iridium Silver Metallic with a red and black Nappa leather interior. Factory equipment on this SLK includes the Premium, Lighting, and Heating packages as well as a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, Comand infotainment system, and a Harman/Kardon sound system, among other features.Modifications to this SLK55 AMG include 18-inch AodHan alloy wheels, clear front side markers, and a deleted resonator. Introduced for the 2005 model year, the "R171" model features a number of revisions compared to its R170 predecessor. Changes include a longer wheelbase, overall length and width, and a 7-speed automatic transmission. The second-generation SLK also benefitted from a revised roof mechanism, which is deployable in 22 seconds and increased trunk storage while the roof is down.Complete with styling designed to pay homage to the Mercedes-Benz McLaren Formula One partnership of the time, the SLK55 represented an accessible entry point into the Mercedes-Benz AMG series of performance cars. Upgrades from the standard SLK include an AMG-tuned suspension with stiffer springs, shocks, and sway bars, 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers, and an AMG styling package including revised bumpers, rocker extensions, rear lip spoiler, and a quad-exit exhaust.Power comes from the "M113" 5.4-liter V8, which produces 355 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
