2006 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG, finished in Obsidian Black with a Charcoal interior. According to the window sticker shown in the gallery, this SL65 AMG had an original MSRP of $188,375. Factory equipment includes 19-inch two-piece AMG wheels, Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, an AMG sport exhaust, bi-xenon headlights, Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery, a Bose AudioPilot sound system, and more as detailed below. Modifications are limited to tinted windows.Called "R230" internally, the first new SL of the 21st century made its debut for the 2003 model year as a replacement for the venerable R129 model. It was appreciably quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, it ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design, and it came standard with a power-retractable hardtop.The SL65 AMG sat at the top of the R230 range as the most powerful version of the German luxury sports car. The traditionally smooth and comfortable SL driving experience was combined with eye-opening straight-line performance, making the SL65 one of the easiest 600-hp cars to live with.Power comes from a hand-built "M275" 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12, rated at 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
