Sharing a platform with the Ford Thunderbird, the Mark VIII was a big, rear-wheel drive, V8-powered coupe. It represented the old-school American luxury coupe while having futuristic styling not quite like anything else at the time.Power comes from an "Intech" 4.6-liter V8 engine, rated at 290 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Due to the modifications performed to this coupe, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
