It arrived as a rear-wheel-drive four-seater that was smaller, lighter, and more affordable than the 3 Series coupe. At launch, the range included the entry-level 128i and the more powerful 135i, and both are sought after by enthusiasts in 2021.Power comes from an "N55" turbocharged 3.0-liter DOHC inline-6, rated 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque in stock form. The Performance Power Kit is claimed to raise horsepower to 320, though a verifying dyno sheet is not available. Output is shuttled to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.
