The Turbo became available in 2007 and was noticeably wider than the base 997. Variable-geometry turbos help to drastically reduce turbo-lag, and better stability, suspension, and all-wheel-drive make this a daily-driveable high-performance sportscar. The Sport Chrono Package also offers a boost of torque, allowing additional boost for up to ten seconds.Power for this 911 comes from a turbocharged “Mezger” 3.6-liter flat-6, which produces 473 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque in stock form. The dyno sheet in the photo gallery indicates that this engine now produces 489 horsepower and 589 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. It spins the four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
